I'm sure that makes absolutely no sense, but hopefully it will shortly.

A few weeks ago, masterofmusings and I had a bet going as to
what time I'd get back from a bowling outing that I went on. Pointless
really, especially since we both didn't mind losing, but it was still kinda
fun. If I lost, I said that I would make him whatever meal he wanted while
he was here, and if he lost, I'd get to pick a place to have food delivered
the next time I go visit him since cooking isn't exactly one of his better
talents. GRIN!!! Well, I lost. Therefore, he came up with the meal that he
wants. Grilled cheese sandwiches, mashed potatoes with real butter, (the
potatoes have to be real too, no instant), and banana bread. So, given his
request, I went on a search for a good banana bread recipe since the one I
used to use has gone the way of many items of mine. And, I came up with what
sounds like an absolutely wonderful, moist recipe.

Cream Cheese Banana Bread

8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup mashed bananas
2 eggs
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

Combine cream cheese, sugar and butter, mixing until well blended. Blend in
bananas and eggs. Add combined remaining ingredients, mixing just until
moistened.
Pour into prepared loaf pan.

Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center
comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan and serve with additional
cream cheese.

Personally though, I won't be adding the nuts, but otherwise, it sounds
really good so I can't wait to give it a try next week.
