Ug!

It really shouldn't be this difficult to get a simple jug of milk,
should it? I'm beginning to think that my grocery store is conspiring to
keep me from having one of my absolute favorite beverages of all-time!
Okay, so it's not really, (or even completely), the fault of the grocery
store, but right now it sounds nice to have someone else to blame other
than myself. Bleh!

So, it's like this. I'm low on milk. To me, this is a fact that is
extremely tragic in the scheme of things, and must be correct at the
earliest possible moment. So, to make the grocery delivery worth it, it
is, of course, necessary to create an order meeting the minimum
requirements for delivery without an additional shopping charge. (I'm
cheap.) So, even before the milk was low, I'd started creating my next
order. This is common for me since I never remember what I need, so I
add things to my online cart as I think of them. So, of course, milk is
one of the first things to be added to the list.

I figured that I'd have everything delivered yesterday. I got the order
ready and went to check out. Oops! The delivery time that I wanted was
full! My store delivers up until 10:00 every day, but these days if I'm
not in bed by 9:00 during the week I'm pretty much a space case the next
day. So, during the week, the 8:00 - 10:00 time just doesn't work. I
really like the 6:00 - 8:00 spot best because I can eat before they
come, and I have time to put things away before going to bed. So, I
decided that since my time was filled yesterday I'd just have to survive
one more day without my delicious white nectar of the cows.

I added a few things to my list a few minutes ago and went to check out
again. There were times available from 4:00 - 6:00, and from 8:00 -
10:00, but my absolutely perfect time right in the middle was already
full! I just can't believe that anyone else would dare to use my
favorite timeframe. How could it possibly be good for them too? I tell
you, people sometimes!

So, once again, I've missed out. I'm thinking that tonight I'm either
going to have to place the order so that I actually will get it
tomorrow, or, (and this idea almost makes waiting for the milk seem
preferable), actually take a cab to the grocery store near me and pick
some up. I don't remember if I wrote about my experience at that store
or not though, and honestly, for the price I'd have to pay for the
round-trip cab fare, I may as well just suck it up yet again and wait
one more day. Oh the taste though!!! Oh yeah, and yes. I feel like being
a drama queen today.
