I ordered an apple peeler-corer-slicer unit from Blind Mice Mart the other day and it'll be here on Thursday. In the instruction manual for my potato masher there's a recipe for homemade applesauce, and I really want to try it. This slicer thing I got is supposed to not only do apples, but potatoes as well. Yesterday I scanned "Harvesting the Heart" by Jodi Picoult and I plan to start editing it fairly soon so that I can have a good read. The book listed her web site though, and I discovered that she's got a podcast. Yay!!! I downloaded all the episodes, so now I need to put them on my Book Port so that I can listen to them.
Speaking of Book Ports, I'm really excited. On Tuesday, March 13 during ACB Radio's Main Menu show, Jeff Bishop will be talking with Larry Skutchan from APH It is rumored that Larry will be discussing the features of the new and upcoming Book Port which is supposed to play the new Library of Congress format books when they become available later this year. I will most likely buy the new BP when it comes out, so am really looking forward to hearing this Main Menu presentation.
