So, Friday I got up at 4:30 AM and was picked up at 6:00. I didn't get back home until 9:00 PM and it was an extremely long day, but hopefully people got a lot out of it. Erik talked a lot about Windows Vista and Office 2007, and now I'm looking forward to the hands-on experience I'm going to get with Vista at our June 5th staff meeting. At one point I was attempting to help someone get back to his seat and he kept not listening to my directions. I went to take his arm to get him going in the right direction and knocked over my water bottle, which, unfortunately, had no cap because I hadn't had time to put it on like I usually do. The water itself wouldn't have been all that bad, but I had cranapple Crystal Lite in the bottle, and I was wearing my light blue work shirt with the company logo and things. The stain is really bad, and everyone thinks that the shirt is a goner, but if I can get some stain remover and some sighted help I'd at least like to try to fix it. It was pretty bad though. The good thing was that I didn't get a drop on my PAC Mate case or my laptop. It just went all on me.
So, when I got home that night I was pretty much totally wiped out. I recorded the voice posts while I was getting ready for bed, and couldn't believe that I actually timed out on the first one.
Yesterday and today have been really lazy days for me and it's been really nice. I made scalloped potatoes and ham last night and I'd forgotten how good it is. I had leftovers today, and I think I've got just enough left for a small bowl tomorrow. I also spent a lot of time online looking at a web site where I purchased a few eBooks that I'll be reading at some point in the near future. I am now only one day away from being completely caught up on The Young and the Restless, and I'll probably finish that tomorrow morning, but that all depends on when I decide to drag myself out of bed. Other than that it's been a nice calm weekend. I swear though that Wisconsin can't make up it's mind when it comes to the weather. Yesterday it was around 80 degrees and I had the air conditioning on. Today we maybe hit 50 degrees, and the next couple of days it's going to be in the 70's. We're more than halfway through May now and this weather is absolutely crazy. There's a saying around here though that if you don't like the weather in Wisconsin, wait a few minutes and it'll change. That is definitely true. SMILE!
Well, I'm tired, so I think I'm going to go to bed, but I wanted to write a quick update before I did. So I'll write more at another time when my brain isn't quite as fuzzy. Later everyone!
